  1. A country’s natural resource refers to the resources within the country which came from the earth itself which is within the land area of the country. These natural resources may be in the form of forests, oil, coal or any other products taken from the earth. Each country country has their own amount of conserved natural resources that they conserve for the future.
Many countries nowadays, such as China, are conserving their natural resources and use other countries’ natural resources instead. In this way, China is saving for the future but is still the leading economy in the globe. Conserving the natural resources can save the country in the future when scarcity reaches its peak. Conserving natural resources is also extremely important to protect the environmental welfare of the country. The country’s natural resources is also the national treasure of the country itself. And of course, the treasure needs to be protected. The country may earn some revenue by protecting their natural resources as well through the tourism industry and may be through some agreement. Currently, Indonesia is paid an annual amount of money by developed countries such as the US for protecting their vast rainforest areas. In addition, conserving natural resources adds up to the riches of the country and can be a source of refuge in times of crisis. The country can sell some of its reserves and earn money in emergency situations. China is one of the richest country today because it has a huge resource of gold, this could save their economy during times like the recession periods.
However, a country may need to use their natural resources at some point. A developing country cannot afford to buy the expensive natural resources form the global market and would have to use their conserved natural resources if the economy is to survive. Apart from that, if the country conserve all of its natural resources, its productivity will automatically fall. As a result, their economy may no longer be competitive in the global market and its people may suffer from scarcity of products. Living standards may start to fall and the economy may start to be hindered. Finally, if a country is to develop, it mostly likely would have to use their natural conservations to achieve efficient production flows and develop at a faster rate. This would help the economy to earn a higher revenue and minimize the costs and would help boost the development rate. If not, their cost of production would rise and efficiency would fall resulting in slow economic development.
In conclusion, a country should conserve its natural resources for a brighter future of the economy and as a source of help during a crisis. The country may need to use their natural conservations at some time but the country should not deplete their reserves. It is best to use as little as possible from the reserves but not until the point where the economy suffers. The country may use natural resources from other countries instead, like China. It is vital to still have some reserve of natural resources for the future.

  2. Natural resources are everything which is comes up naturally and exists undisturbed by humanity. Natural resources are one of the factors for production, because it needed to be manufactured and sell the goods of product. Most of the country use the natural resources to produce goods and services or it can be use to fulfill the local people needs and wants. Government can use natural resources or just conserve it for future. Some natural resources also unlimited but some also limited.
Using natural resources will help the government increase their income by produce goods and services. More production will lead to high rate of export which achieves economic growth. Government aims is reach economic growth, because it can help the living standard, education, and also infrastructure. Less number of import also help to decrease number of competition to encourage local companies to expand.
Conserve natural resources will help government to protect some natural environments which will be extinct soon. This situation also will be a benefit for future, the country will have rare natural environment which other country doesn’t have it. We also can attract tourist to see the beautiful of natural resources which increase government income.
However, using natural resources will make the natural resources decrease and it will become extinct soon. Government also will receive high income in a short term period, because most of the natural resources are limited and it will be extinct. If the natural resources extinct the number of goods produces will decrease and will not help the company and also government. This condition will not help the country to expand in a future, because have negative balance of payment. This is some of the disadvantages of using natural resources.
On the other hand, conserve natural resources will not increase their communication with other country. Moreover, most country if have low rate export will not help another country and this will lead to war between country. Conserve natural resources also will reduce number of production and reduce government income. This will not lead to high living standard, high education, and infrastructure. In long-term much country also will buy the resources for their company so government can get high income from export taxes.
In conclusion, government has rights to create the decision for their country. Conserve natural resources is helpful for long-term and conserve it can increase government income in long term, even though it will not increase government income but it can be covered in the future. Using natural resources can help government to aims economic growth which one of four government aims. Using natural resources will lead to high living standard, high education and also infrastructure. But using it will make it died out. If most of natural resources which are limited like oil were vanished most of production in all worlds will slow down lead to bankrupt. Government better conserve natural resources by using alternative resources like water, wind, and sunlight which create some energy to be the power of machine and other man-made capital. This will help to decrease government spending and save environment for future without destroyed the natural resources.

  3. As we know, natural resources are scarce. People need to allocate its resources wisely to satiate human unlimited wants. Each country have its own natural resources, and they have the choice of conserving or use the resources. Clearly opportunity cost haunt the government, because there are sacrifice to be made.

A country must therefore try to conserve their natural resources and only use it when they are forced to and they must do it efficiently and wisely. If they failed to do so, they might encounter problems especially during crisis. For example if they don’t have any conservation of food supplies, they are unable to feed its people and famine occurs. Aside from having not enough supplies, they do exploit nature when using their own natural resources. This adds problem as the environment is being damaged and depleted. Having stock of natural resources are also beneficial when there’s an economic downturn, that natural resources can be used to help raising up the economy. Solid example for this is gold reserve. A country may sell its gold reserve to the market to gain money to help supporting their country when there is a decline in economic growth and an increase in both unemployment and inflation.

On the other hand, if a country does not use up their own natural resources, they must purchase the raw material from other country which adds up import and government expenditure as well as imbalance balance of payment due to higher imports compared to exports. The country yet also become dependent to other country as they rely on other’s country natural resource and conserve their own. This also troubles other country that some raw material are not provided by nature and only found on that country, since that country conserves its own natural resources, therefore others may not be able to purchase the material and with low supply in the market, hence the price will be expensive.

In contrast, a country need to balance its usage on natural resources to achieve maximum comparative advantage where all the resources are being used efficiently and productive. It’s best for a country to specialize in certain production and buy other goods from other country so the resources are used efficiently and it also balances they both the countries balance of payment due to balance imports and exports being made. Both globalization and international takes place here which helps in economic growth as well as the relation between nations. Still it’s the country decision to whether to conserve or use their natural resources. Hence its best to balance both of them and achieve comparative advantage there to use the resources optimally, as well as contributing to international trade to balance things up and build relationship with nations across the globe, still government need to be wise in allocating their resources as greed may come and use the natural resources without thinking the social cost and only cares for private cost can lead to catastrophic incident which not only affect the country but worldwide.

  4. Natural resources are those resources which occurs from nature and used by business to produce needs and wants. Natural resources my form mineral, forest, water, land. Many countries have their own natural resources. Business using natural resources to produce goods to satisfy need and want. The problem is human's wants are unlimited, but natural resources are limited. Government are controlling the supply of
Natural resources; they have the right to determine which they have to use (exploitation) or save (conservation) for later time. Government might need to choose between conserve or exploit those resources.

Government might be able to conserve the supply of natural resources by increasing the tax of buying those resources, While government might exploit those resources by giving companies subsidy to use those goods. Even tough natural resources might be renewed, some resources might not be able to renew or need long time to renew. Those who might not be able to renew itself called unrenewable resources, while the one who can be renewed called renewable resources.

Conservation of natural resources means that government are protecting or giving limitation (quotas), by doing conservation government might be able to save resources so it might not wasted. Conservation might not be effective if the resources which they are conserving are needed and there are still much more supply of the resources. However having a high supply / much stock of natural resources might be beneficial. When an economy have stock of natural resources government might be able to use it in case of economic downturn. Resources which can be used in economic downturn is gold, silver, etc ( those can be sell to other countries).

In the other hand, exploitation means of using natural resources as much as possible. By doing this government may be able to increase the living standard of their people, and they might also increase the production of goods so that those needs and wants can be satisfied. By doing this government might be able to exceed their potential of using e natural resources. Exploits natural resources make prices of some goods get lower. Exploits natural resources might bring economic growth.

In conclusion, that exploitation and conservation has its own row in an economic. When government trying to conserve natural resources, it means that they are planning to survive in economic downturn because by conserving resources like gold it might be useful in economic downturn. But when government tries to exploits natural resources government are demanding for economic growth more so that the living standard increase and consumers need and want are satisfied. - Antony John Gerald

  5. Natural resources of a country are many varieties of materials and components that can be found in a nature of a country. These are all the things that based man-made creations and products, such as wood from the forest. Some natural resources are renewable, like sunlight, water from the ocean, and wind. Some, however are non-renewable, for example fossil fuel, which is why there has been quite a lot of debates over whether to exploit the natural resources and use it to its best potential, or to conserve it to decrease chances of scarcity of resources to happen.

Natural resources are the materials that created products to be sold to people. By using the natural resources and turning them into a product, we can develop and add value to the resources so that it’s used to its utmost potential. However, population size has been increasing from year to year in each countries because of the new technologies invented, which means more demand. The demand makes the use of natural resources increases, especially for countries like China and India with big population size. If this is the case, there won’t be much more to gain in the nature for later in the future. This is why resources have always been linked to the basic economic problem; that finite resources are to fulfill infinite wants from people that keeps increasing and not stopping. When scarcity of resources happen, it’ll be hard for producers to produce anymore products to fill the demand, even though scarce of resources can be handled by buying resources from another country, imposing higher taxes for materials, and decreasing number of imports while focusing only on distributing in the country.

However if the resources in the country is not used to its utmost potential, we will never know until how much they can do. New technologies cannot be created when there are no materials to be tested with. With technologies created, it can help through the citizen’s life and achieve a higher standard of living, which is always wanted in a country in order to boost economic growth. Moreover, by using the country’s resources, the country can get a better grasp at what they have and control it better, because another country may use it for their own advantage. In addition to that, by exploiting our natural resources, there can be more products to be made, adding profit to the producers, saving economy. And if we put higher taxes on products, the government can earn more profit in order to build the infrastructure of the country and use it on other government sectors. Conserving is also benefiting for exporters because they can export more products to other countries, which will reduce activities of black market or any illegal economy. Although with increase of production, increasing pollution will also happen.

Natural resources needs to be conserved, because scarcity of resources is one of the most difficult problems to overcome for a country, but by not using our country’s own resources, we will not achieve the maximum result for productions and profit. That’s why a country’s natural resources should be put to use, however there is a need for a country to be able to control over it / do conservation such as national parks to keep the nature conserved and reduce pollution.
