Jonathan Utama 8c.                                                                                                                                   Discuss whether wages are the most  important factor influencing the choice of occupation for many individuals.                                                                                                                                                    Answer:Wages are not the most important factors influencing the choice of occupation for many individuals becouse there are other non Wage factors such as satisfaction, promotion, environment, working timing, traveling distance. Many people are willing to work for a lower income if they enjoy the work. Some people prefer to work for a company with regular income, while others prefer the freedom of working for themselves. They are willing to do that in the name of job satisfaction.Next is promotion, many of us want to work in occupation where there is opportunity for promotion. This is why wechoose to work for big companies because the promotion scheme is clear so we feel motivated to get promoted and reach our dream occupation. Then, the working environment,we like to work ina place where the atmosphere is comfortable, the boss and our colleagues are friendly and informative. So,we will feel motivated and welcomed there.the facilities also matter for us such as canteen, health clinic, transportation. Then working timing, some of us like to work in regular hours,so in the evening we can spend time with our famili. While others prefer the flexible working hours,so we can have a second job. Some of us like traveling a lot,so we can see many places.Next is location, where we are excited about the possibility for a new job,it is wise to consider the travelling distance or the traffic. While an hour long drive in heavy traffic might not seem like a problem at the beginning,it can quickly become a crucial factor in how much we enjoy the job.On the other hand, choosing a job simply becouse it is close to our home may not be the best idea either. If we don't enjoy the job,the location won't matter. So we should consider whether the traveling distance or the traffic will affect our ability to do things that are important to us and our family before making a decision.Identifying those factors can help us convince that we choose the most appropriate job, whenever we are looking for a job.Although every job is different,we will find that several common factors may play a part in determining satisfaction with a job or career. We just need to carefully evaluate the importance of these factors to determine which job is our dream job.
