Poverty are poor people in the country that needs support from the government and they're income is only $2 or less. Some countries are experiencing to have extreme poverty due to the causes of the economy, the country's standard of living is very low and it's taxes are very high. like in sub-saharan Africa, they have the lowest income category in the world of only $765 GNI, while in north Africa. Here, the economy is stable, trade and tourism are high and Aids is less prevalent.
The governments can help the country to reduce poverty by developing it's infrastructures, merit and public goods which includes education, health cares, etc.To reduce the poverty is mainly to reduce the child poverty, the governments should motivate the children to go to school and receive knowledge and have experiences, or Improving social mobility so that no one is stopped from achieving their potential. The governments should also interact with the public and private businesses to let them hire more employes from the poverties so the poverty will have a job and be employed to work to fullfill their daily needs, and reducing taxes, lots of people are demotivated to work because they will have to pay a huge amount of tax to the government while they're employed or owning an asset( such as cars, house, etc ), so by reducing tax, people would be more motivated to work and be emplloyed.
Although there are some factors in which it will be an issue for the government to help reduce poverty, they just can help to create a charity program so the poor can recieve money from the rich, etc. They could also increase their capital and technology so they could provide the poverties enough, Governments should also provide food and water for the poor to eat and drink.

Extreme poverty means the people that received only $2 or less than that per day. They couldn’t even buy daily needs with that amount of money, the standard of living of people in the countries will be low if there is a high number of poverty with in the countries.Poverty happen when the countries is too dependent with the primary sector (natural resources),poor household that would not provide and demotivated their children from going to school.Capital is always the problem that most of the developing countries face they can’t purchase a new machine o make their works aster and efficiently will leads to less productivity with in the countries that will make a negative price elasticity.
The government can reduce poverty by giving subsidies for education ,and health care. They can also use nutrition program to reduce the impact of the poverty, the government can also increase the hygiene of the environments and provide a better waters and sanitation system to increase the standard of living of the people and improved human development index.
The government can give subsidies for education so they can be more smarter and can get a job easier when they grow older. The government should also motivate children to go to work by providing them a good condition at the school such as facilities and the children social mobility. It will help them to develop their skills better and they will be more motivated to study.
The government can also provide infrastructure for the people that living in the poverty, such as providing them a food and shelter, train them to work so they can fulfill their daily needs by their own.The government can also make a new work field such as a hospital so after those people have been trained, they can work in the government hospital. The government should also help them to get easier access to the road so they can go to work easier, and others.
The government can also increase their living standard by giving them a better water and sanitation system in their environments.the government should also consider to provide them a good working condition so they can be more motivated to work and they can work better when they are healthy in the good hygiene system.
The government should also provide a health care for the poor people so they will be healthy to work, study, and doing their activities. For ex: the government can give the children a better nutritional program so they can grow healthier.
The government can track the progress of their effort by measuring the number of enrollment(number of people register to school), amount of income that was generated from the primary sector, the sector that generated the most income of people in the countries, the life expectancy. So if the government want to track their effort they can see the proof that the countries is moving from the primary sector to the tertiary sector that generated a better amount of income for the people .

  3. There are many reasons a country can suffer from extreme poverty, which includes insufficient support from the government in healthcare, education, public goods and services, etc. or the inability of utilising the country’s public expenditure properly, or other factors like bad choices made by a certain individual, etc. but the government’s help in reducing the level of poverty may also create opportunity cost in using the revenue in other aspects, and increase tax rates.

The reason why Britain has taken away their aid budget from India and China, according to David Cameron, the British Prime Minister said, “India and China have the resource and ability themselves, if they take the right steps to tackle that problem.” (http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2014-01-24/news/46562936_1_india-and-china-financial-aid-david-cameron) This shows that, in actual fact, if the government utilises the country’s public expenditure properly and strategically, they will be able to overcome extreme poverties in their respective countries.

Another problem is the insufficient support of the government, as this quote shows: “Divinagracia (80) has struggled to pay the $1,800-a-month rent. She earns just $215 a month working as a "foster grandparent" and gets the maximum cash aid for elderly and disabled people: $845 a month in Supplemental Security Income.” (http://articles.latimes.com/2010/oct/17/local/la-me-elderly-poverty-20101017) From this, we are able to tell that the lack of financial support in California is weak for the elderly, and that many people besides Divinagracia have been struggling as well, as “The alternative data found about 6.4 million people aged 65 and older are poor. Without Social Security, nearly 24 million seniors would be living in poverty. Medical expenses are also a major factor” (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/11/06/poverty-rate-government-aid_n_4227925.html).

Another reason why people are in extreme poverty is because of the lack of education and the choices made by an individual, such as Cole. Eventually this also leads back to the government, because if they took action earlier, educating students that drugs and getting pregnant at an early age are poor decisions and that education is extremely important in this competitive, ever-changing world, there would be less chances people will drop out of school, start doing drugs, etc.
“In her early teens, Cole started drinking and smoking pot, dropped out of school and got pregnant. At 17, she was raising two children: Peter, now 12, and Destiny, 10.” (http://articles.latimes.com/2012/may/24/local/la-me-natalie-20120524)

With such determination and power, the government can still be able to overcome the poverty levels of a country. By educating students, especially teenagers on the dangers of drugs, getting pregnant early on in life, etc. can really open their eyes on how important it is to have an education. Another way is by increasing the number of food banks and health programs in states and districts, as it has been reported that in the US, “Food stamps (formally known as SNAP) keep about five million people out of poverty, according to the supplemental measure.” (http://www.npr.org/blogs/money/2013/11/06/243498168/how-many-americans-live-in-poverty), so by having more food stamps, the poverty level can decrease in percentage. Another way is by subsiding major neccessities like food, water, healthcare, etc. can also make it affordable for people.
Providing homes to stay for those earning low/middle-low income and train them on how to get jobs/employ them in the public sector can also help both the economic market and keep people out of the streets (these ideas are used from: http://www.globalurban.org/GUDMag06Vol2Iss1/Serageldin,%20Solloso,%20&%20Valenzuela.htm).

  4. But major problems can also develop in reducing levels of poverty. Firstly, their becomes an opportunity cost for the expenditure used in helping the poor, as this could have been used to improve the country’s infrastructure, reducing unemployment, increase exports than imports (balance of payment), etc. Also, by financing so much for reducing poverty levels, if the public expenditure is bigger than its revenue, the governement will usually increase income and corporate taxes of the people. With this, it can discourage foreign investments and the smart and intellectual people might flee the country with such high taxes. Another negative note is that, with all the food and health programs, and subsidies, people may take advantage of this. An example of this is the paragraph taken from a site talking about the subsidised fuel in Indonesia, stating, “A World Bank study showed that the car-driving upper class and middle class who benefit the most, with the top 50 per cent of households by income consuming more than 80 per cent of subsidised fuel and the poorest 10 per cent of households less than 1 per cent.” (http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/7e1411f0-7e3b-11e2-a6d1-00144feabdc0.html#axzz2tTCZAyLn)

In conclusion, the government can effectively reduce the extreme poverty levels by providing education, healthcare, other public goods and services, subsiding neccessities such as food and water, or providing food banks and health programs across the country, providing free housing, and train people to get jobs. Slowly and gradually, the figures of people living in poverty will change.

There reasons a country can suffer from extreme poverty including the lack of support from the government like healthcare, education, public goods and services. To reduce the poverty is mainly to increase the education, government needs to give motivation to the youths to start going to school and having good education which government had subsidized. By increasing their education level, it will benefits country's future more because there will be more skilled and educated people that will give more advantages to the country and it would help a country to be developed rather than developing. In africa, the level of poverty is too high because they can't even find natural resources to fulfill their daily needs such as water or wheat to eat causing starvation and malnutrition which reduces the population of the country that makes no people to be educated or any workforce to make a country efficient on its GDP. Government need to improvised infrastructure so that people will have a better place to live like for the people who lie near to the dam, which in Jakarta is a dangerous place to live. Government in Jakarta/Indonesia has high level of corruption, which needs to be strictly reduce to help those people who are in needs. The problem is not only unskilled or uneducated people but the government too is the problem, it is not fair to the poor.

Poverty can also be reduced by increasing the subsidies, by increasing the taxation to the wealthy people, by then there will be enough money for the poor and the country to develop, subsidies need to be really take care of because of the corruption that is really high at this moment. It needs to be distributed really evenly without any single corrupt because Indonesians really have that potential to corrupt.

In conclusion, many factors that happens to be the reason of poverty and how to reduce it but the main ones are to increase the education like in Africa, improving the infrastructure and to increase the subsidies.

As global warming gets worse and worse each day, so is the economic condition of countries nowadays. Poverty isn’t poverty any longer but extreme poverty is present right now. Extreme poverty is a condition where people nearly can’t survive in the world because they get an extremely low salary (mostly below $1). This condition usually happens in countries where they are still developing or in less-developed countries. Without government intervention, these people can just die at any time.

  7. Poverty is the condition where people can’t even buy daily needs, since they received a very small amount of income per capital; they received less than $ 1 per day. The reason they are poor is because they don’t have an education so they can’t get a good job, which have a good salary, and most of them will spend their money on the daily needs but not on education and health care since they have a limited amount of money. But we can’t always measure poverty with the amount of income they received; we should also measure some of the social reasons such as education, health care.

Poverty is on of the indicators of economic development to .If a country have a high percentage of poverty show the low quality life of the country, the low percentage of poverty in the country shows a good quality life of the country. The reason why poverty happens in the country because low education, low supply of jobs, low infrastructure, etc. Poverty makes increasing in criminals because the persons do not have money to buy there needs and fulfill it so they rob a bank, store, and house they can kill a persons just to get there money or expensive item such as car, jewelries, house, etc. a country should decrease the percentage of poverty if they want to be called developed country such as USA, Japan, etc. they have better life quality there death rate are small because they have batter health care. The children in there country have a good education that makes a good assets for the country future they can develop more improve the system, electronic, etc.

Government trying there best to decrease the amount of poverty by many kinds such as giving subsides to the poor people, no tax for the poor people, free health care to decrease there expenses in health care and lower the amount of death rate in the country, building infrastructure to provide more jobs, but all does money given by the government can not really change it if the government all ways do these the poor people will depended with government and government need to increase there expenses so lower saving for the country and inflation will rise.

([the website itself—no written author], 2014, Ending Extreme Poverty, Place of publication: Internet/ Website, http://www.usaid.gov/endextremepoverty, accessed per February 16,2014)
    (Matthew C., 2014)
Extremeness is something out of reach, something very unusual; so it means that government didn’t cooperate really well with the citizens until poverty goes extreme. The first that caused this is hunger & malnutrition and the extremely low standard of living. People with extremely low salary can’t get proper food and nutrition, and they might only eat once a day, which isn’t good for health. When these people don’t have proper nutrition, they will be less productive in their jobs, and their life expectancy might also be lower. Lower salary means lower revenue for the government, so government will have less money to develop the country and give subsidies to the citizens. This causes the very low and slow economic development of the country, making one’s country less-developed as the compared to several other countries.
Secondly, these less-developed countries also has bad/ less-developed infrastructures, including access to clean sanitation to take a bath, wash clothes, and also a clean access to water. Because there isn’t much clean water and proper sanitation for the citizens, their only choice is to do their daily activities by the dirty riversides along the city. These waters which are already polluted and full of trash might’ve contained germs and bacterias which are not good for the citizens. And later on when they get sick, there isn’t any good access to healthcare, plus the healthcare might be quite far away from each city/ small village. This way, there is a high risk of citizens dying at a very young age, and mothers who’s giving birth might not be able to give birth to her child normally, and the baby might receive mental problems/ sickness.
As these less-developed countries has less revenue to be developed for the country or to give subsidies to the needy, young kids might not receive proper education, and many of these kids won’t be able to read/ write. This will make them unable to pursue a better career when they’re older later, and they might also be less responsible and act mannerly as they weren’t taught ethics since they were young. So all these people can only think that only men can work as they’re stronger, when not all of them are actually are, and will lead to gender inequality, which is not stable for then employment rate of one’s country.

So to simply say things out, government will have to first and foremost create and have connections with other countries and ask aid from them (even though they should pay with the interest as well), or else one’s economy’s going to be stuck there forever and can’t move. The next step is to use that aid to subsidize and help the needy and poor citizens so they can have a more decent living. That way, they can have a normal level of standard of living, and can start to work properly and generate more money for the business/ firm, and so adding more revenue for the government. Starting then, government can recover little by little until their finance is stable and can repay their debts.
