  1. Of course the first things is opportunity , then match between your skills & ability with the requirements of the choice made, Economic & self satisfaction, Dignity & social esteem, Loyalty or hero idealization during early age,
Peer groups ,parents, family members & society.
    Our percentage , economical problem,
the factors that influence the choice of occupation are how much profit they make, and the wages, in other words, the salaries, of the people that work over there, and the salaries of the consumers.
The factors that influence the choice of occupation are how much profit they make, and the wages, in other words, the salaries, of the people that work over there, and the salaries of the consumers. For example we have a profession as a doctor then of course the wages of a doctor is much. It is the efficiency of becoming a doctor. That's all. Thank You

  2. There are thousands of different occupations, each with its own conditions of work. Some people work indoors while others work outdoors. Some work for large companies and some for small businesses. Some work at night and others work during the day. Some people are self-employed and work for themselves. There are many factors which affect a person’s choice of occupation. These factors can be categorized into wage and non-wage factors.

    Wage factors

An important consideration in choosing a career is the wages paid. For example, doctors and accountants usually earn more than electricians and drivers.
Wages are payments for carrying out the works. The higher the wage, the more attractive the job may seem. However, highly paid jobs typically require a lot of training and skill development, which can reduce the supply of qualified applicants. Some dangerous jobs – for example, working on an offshore oil ring – will attract applicants only if the wages are relatively high.
In choosing an occupation, a potential employee will usually consider the following:
    1. Basic Pay is the amount of money that will be received by an employee before any increments or deductions are made.
    2. Earnings relates to the total amount an individual receives when additional payments are added including overtime, bonuses and commissions.
3.Overtime is the hours worked in addition to the basic contracted hours. It is usually paid at a higher rate compared to the normal hours. The purpose of giving overtime pay is to encourage people to work ‘unsocial’ hours.
    4. A Bonus is used as an incentive to encourage workers to work harder or longer, for example, to meet a particular sales or production target.
    5. Commission is a payment made as a percentage of sales that a salesperson makes. This will encourage the salesperson to be enthusiastic about selling more..

    Non-wage fators

Non-wage factors are highly influential on the choice of occupation. They include:
    1. Job-satisfaction: many people are prepared to work for a lower pay if they enjoy the work. Some people prefer to work for a company with regular income, while others prefer the freedom of working for themselves.
    2. Career Prospects: many people want to work in occupations where there is opportunity for promotion.
    3. Fringe benefits these are non-financial incentives given to employees. For example: subsidised housing, company car or subsidised transport, subsidised company products etc.

  3. Wages, in the form of monetary rewards, are the total compensation that an employee receives in exchange for the services he/she performed for the employer, given by the employer. It may be calculated as a fixed task based amount, or at an hourly rate, or based on an easily measured quantity of work done. On the contrary salary is a fixed amount of money or compensation paid to an employee by an employer in return for work performed. Salaried work is based on the fixed time period and with the commission, which is based on performance. Salary is commonly paid in stages at fixed intervals, for example monthly payments or annual payments.

When a person chooses a job he/she must look through all of the factors that might affect having that job, not just the wages/salaries. The factors are divided into 2, which are the wage factors and the non-wage factors.
However there are also other factors that could affect a person’s choice of occupation which are the reasons why different occupations have different rates of pay, and the wage difference between sectors and the wage difference with in occupations.

The wage factors include being highly skilled. You must be a very skilled person in order to get a good wage. The definition of skill would be the learned ability to carry out pre-determined results often with the minimum outlay of time, energy or both. They must be risk takers in order to be able to get a good wage they must be valiant in order to be able to make business and they must be dauntless, besides the more arduous the occupation the higher the wage.

Secondly the non-wage factors comprise of the most important one first. Our natural skill, professions like artists, dancers, actors, etc need a born skill to be able to do their occupation. Their born skills can be improved through time and practice but they themselves must have that talent first.

Another non-wage factor would be through our education and training. If we already studied business since we were in middle school then we got through college with a business degree, our job will be something related to business not different things like acting or becoming a doctor. Also if one’s grades are impeccable then it’ll be even easier to pick out a job since if you are well known for your good grades the company they will have a job offer ready for you to take.

Another alternative would be class attachment, meaning that one’s occupation maybe following their parent’s footsteps like they say; the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. If that’s the case then they might be able to get more guidance from their parents since their parents have experience what was it like to be in that line of career.

Aside from that one will want to know how big the company ;of the occupation that they might be taking; is. That person will take a large firm as a part of prestige. The bigger the company the more amount of money they are able to make. Because if the company is bigger, they could produce more products hence the more money they’ll make.

Also one would choose the occupation with a higher chance of promotion. If they get promotion then their income will be higher than it was before. Everyone wants to become an opulent person, so in order to do that they must want to get higher wages/salaries. To get higher wages/salaries they must be promoted into an even more difficult level of job.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Apart from that one would also look at the fringe benefits before he/she agrees to work in that company. Fringe benefits; also known as employee benefits; are various non-wage compensations provided to employees in addition to their normal wage or salaries. The examples are free insurance, free cars, medical, housing, etc.
0ne must also consider the working hours that he/she must endure when they take the job, usually they prefer less working hours. Why? Because everyone wants to spend time with their friends and family so in that matter they must make time. In order to do that they will want to decrease their working hours so that they’re able to spend quality time with those they love

To me the most important factor would be job satisfaction. Why? You may ask, is because to me you must choose an occupation or profession that you love. In that way you’ll do it with all your heart and you’ll put your whole effort into what you’re doing. In that way, not only will you be jubilant when you go to work every morning, but you will also get more income since the effort you put in is more than adequate.

Another factor would be job security. You will want to go for a job where you’ll stay there permanently; hence you won’t have to worry about finding a different job. So you must make sure to maintain your relationship with the people there so that there wont be any issues or reasons for you to get fired.

You might also consider the amount of holidays that job gives you. Like for example, if you are a teacher you’ll get a summer holiday, spring breaks, semester breaks, public holiday breaks, and also Christmas holiday. But if you work in an office you might not get that much holiday. So it is also best to consider the amount of holiday and time you get to spend with your family and friends.

Also another factor would be to become a high valued and well-known person. If you are a high valued person many people will act tactfully to you. And there are many perks on being a well-known person, like for example the bank will give you immediate loan by just saying your name without having to check again with the company’s papers to see if you are really a worker in that firm.

The facility that the company has will also be one of the factors to be taken into consideration. Why? Because you will want to be working in a clean and healthy environment where they provide almost everything. Like for example, you are a businessman/woman that works in a capacious office where they have many restaurants in the lobby, a hospital nearby, a bank across the road, etc. Thus one would want to work there because he/she can access things easily if he/she does.

Another thing that you could consider is that if the company that you’ll be working in has an exemplary report on their product. If they don’t then they might experience business failure. So if you don’t check on that part of the company before you accept the occupation, then that profession might just be temporary, because if they do experience business failure you must find another occupation to replace your old job.

So, overall to me wages isn’t the main factor that will influence the choice of occupation most because there are many other factors that one can take into consideration more than just the wages.

  5. Wages are usually one of the main factor for workers when they are choosing their occupation because it determined how much we earned and spend for daily needs because of their need and wants wages can be determined from some factors such as normal salary can be determined from our specialization, productivity and type of job.

.But there are other factors that make me disagree such as if it is suitable for us because if we don't have the ability to do the job we wont accepted it because we are not capable of doing the job.

Others factors are such as the duration of the work because it will better to take a job with enough salary but normal work duration than getting a job with high salary but work with a very long duration like if you worked in oil plantation because it took 6 month to stay there so it hard to meet family and friend but you can get a very high salary.

other one is about the risk of the job thats why
People who work in nuclear plantation will have bigger wages but they have a risk because the are big chances they can die.

location can also be one of the most important
factor such as the people who worked at the offshore oil mining because people who worked there have a hard time finding places to buy item or food that can fulfill our needs and wants.

People also will choose a job that can have a promotion such as there are some job that can easily give us promotion and promotion can increase our wage rate like for the example is marketing,if we can achieve the target of selling our good the boss can directly give us promotion.

Some of the job can also give us free ticket to go to other country for holidays such as marketing too because if marketing workers achieve the target that the boss gave them usually the boss can gave them free yearly ticket to go to other country.

We can also think of our business with the facility because usually people will work in places with good facility like if the business have a elevator we will better choosing the business that have elevator than the one using stairs or if the company have air conditioner or not since it can be really uncomfortable working in Jakarta without a air conditioner .

Sometimes we can also continue our parent business such as if somebody parents have a business of making paper their child will have a big chance to continue their parents job because the parents have the asset so he dont need to buy any other machines.

So even if salary most people determined what job are they gonna choose through wages in my opinions they are still many things to be reconsidered so me must find a job that suit us since every job have a advantages and disadvantage so we must find the ones we can cope with .

  6. It is true that wages are the most important factor influencing the choice of occupation for workers. But there are still many other important factors that also affect people to choose an occupation. It may be based on hobby, social motivation, talent and others(Self-Actualization). For example a person has talent, skill and hobby in programming. So may be he / she will choose to be as programmer or media editor and accepted to work at Microsoft Inc. Or also may be that the person have skill and talent in programming, but since he / she is a kid, he or she enjoys in communicating with others, drawing and playing music instrument or enjoy in act and pretend like in the movie or theater, may be he or she could be an artist like Michael Buble, or to be a pianist like David Foster or even to be a psychologist because he or she loves to communicate with others or helping others in need. So, many other main factors that affect our desire of choice for an occupation.

Aside from hobby, skill and friendly, also there are people that do for an occupation for charity purpose or helping others purpose. For example that there are few doctors that want to be an expert doctor, not because of the amount of income or wages he will get by become a expert specialist doctor, also with an aim or purpose to help emergent-health condition people that only can be cured for only little time. Or also with psychologist their main aim is to help abnormal people life. That individual known as social workers

But there is an exception for low level people. They only want to work because to earn money to fulfill their basic needs and wants. They are usually poor people. They want to work for any jobs but with aim they must get money even though the job is dangerous, they won’t care. Next, if they could fulfill their basic needs and wants well, they will choose which job is safe and which job is dangerous. Even they are far from family or lack of society communication, it is still okay for them. After they become higher level people, they will choose occupation that is safe and society friendly, e.g. near family, friends and others. After they step onto higher level, or known as step 4, they will search for job that being respected and high-society environment. Even they are not paid much, it is okay for them. For this level, money or wages is not become the most priority factor for doing a job anymore. And now, for the highest level, is showing that they are want to be world famous figure or also known as self-actualization. For example a scientist may not aim for money in his research for innovation, he even spend his own money to fund his research. He does his best efforts to obtain self-actualization from worldwide on his achievement, i.e. his invention or innovation. That theory was invented by Abraham Maslow, named Hierarchy of needs.

Generally, we can simply say that in fact there many more individuals who choose occupation based on wage as the most important factor, like being mention in low level individual – physiological – To fulfill their basic needs and wants. There are also social workers or known as ‘Esteem’. They are the one that don’t make wages is the top priority in their job, but in helping others. So, for conclusion, higher level of individuals, will be lesser the supply of workers.

That’s all from me, Thank You :)

  7. Wages are salary or money earned by a person who does a job. Wages vary between job to job, But they are determined by the having an equilibrium of the demand of a Supply of people who are willing to apply for the job and the amount of people Demanded for that specific job at that specific wage rate. Well the point of people having a job is to receive wages or salaries. Despite this there are also other factors of why people choose a specific job to suit themselves.
    For example:
The perks, having a job will not only give you salaries but other useful things alongside salaries for example free insurance or free airplane ticket when your job involves travelling to other countries all of these are given by the company to the employees.
The rules and regulations, a firm will always give rules and regulations to the employee. If people like the rule and regulations given by the firm more than they like other firm’s rules and regulation people will more likely to go for the job that has a better rule for them.
The time of work, the amount of time people have to spend for a job is also a factor for how many people would take the job given by the firm.
The difficulty of the job is also a big factor in the supply of the labor. If a job is hard the supply of the job will be very low, it goes the other way around for a relatively easy job as more people can apply for it the supply will be quite large (extremely large compared to a very hard job). For example there will be more supply for a job as a cleaning crew compared to an assistant for CEO of a very huge company.
The type of job is another factor effecting the supply of labor for a job given by a firm. The type of job effects the supply of labor because it could effect the worker’s status.
Eligibility would effect the supply of labor. An increase Eligibility needs for a specific job for given by a company would decrease the labor supply because the eligibility needs cannot be fulfilled by the workers in just one day meaning they cannot apply for that specific job for a long time. For example if a job as an engineer is up for apply with a change in the eligibility needs is increased for example the firms would add “Must at least have an engineering experience”, not all people who wants to apply for that job would have an experience in engineering, so they can’t apply for that job meaning the supply of labor for that job will decrease.
Despite this wage rate will always effect the supply more than the other factors because the reason people take a job is to earn salary. The more salary they earn the more they would apply for that job. Therefore the wage rate effects the supply the most.
In conclusion, even though there are multiple factors that effects the supply of labor, wages will always be the most important factor for the supply of labor. But other factors will still be there and will still effect the supply, just it will not be as influential compared to the wage rate.

  8. Wages are usually the most common factor that influence people for choosing their job . people are usually find a job that have a high wages because that wages are used for them to fulfill their needs and wants .people won't choose a job that have a low wages . they always want a high wages because by earning a high wages , they not only can fulfill their needs and wants , but they also can save their money for the future . people will always choose a job that have a high wages ,no one will choose the low wages . but sometimes , they don’t have any choice again because they don’t have any skills and high education , but they want to earn some money , so they will accept all job even though it have a low wages . Sometimes company also want a people that don’t have a really high skills , so that the company can run smoothly , like example office boy and garbage collector .high wages can be received by some skills , education and specialization . we can’t get a high wages if our job is only to become a garbage collector , but we can get it if we are a doctor or an economist. that job are all need a great skills to do it . it also need a high education and a great specialization . some other reason to get a high wages is by doing secondary job , then it will increase your wages and that wages will fulfill all your wants . Specialization also are the main reason for getting a high wages . By having a specialization , the productivity of the company will increase, promotion , we will have a higher wages rate , and we will also have a great status because of it . But specialization also will have some disadvantage , like boring , stressfull , difficult to start a new job , monotonous job , etc . But specialization will make people to get a high wages and wages are the most common factors of why people are working , so they will do everything for it.We can calculate wages by calculating the demand for labor and supply of labor .the main factor that affecting demand for labor is wages ,rules and regulation , future expectation , factors substitubality and high productivity . the company are always want a labor that can be paid with a low wages but have a high skills. Company also want a labor that can make a high production in that company , so that company can earn many profit . company also want a labor that always follow the rules and regulation, so that they won’t make some mistakes . factors that affecting supply of labor , are ofcourse like what we discuss before no 1 are WAGES, because people are always want a high wages , and that are the main factor . second , is the difficulty . People also don’t want to have a job that is very difficult . third , is the type of the work .People will always do a work according to their skills. fourth , is the location , people are always finding a job that is near with their house , so it will be easy for them . fifth , eligibility . sixth , are fringe benefit . seventh , transport facilities and eight, rules and regulation . People will always find a job that don’t have a complicated rules and regulation

  10. The factors that influence a person to choose an occupation are wages factor, and non-wages factor. Where wages factor is the influence of the difference of wages that is given by different types of job. Non wages factor, are about hours of work, holiday entitlement, promotion prospects, flexible working arrangements, qualifications required, fringe benefits, pension entitlement, opportunities of promotion, and so on. All the wage and non-wages factor will affect someone to be attracted to a job is called, net advantage. Usually, before someone decided to choose a job, they combined wages and non-wages factor to become a consideration.

Some people still thinks that wages is the most important factor in a job. Commonly, these people are the unskilled worker because unskilled workers didn’t think what kind of job, the environment of job, how secure is the job, training opportunities for them, they only think how much money can they earn with their limited skills. This contrary to skilled worker. They will think more about the promotion prospect, fringe benefits, opportunities for promotion, quality of working environment, and working arrangements. These factors are more important then wages to them. Wages are only become extra benefits to them. For people back then, they still focused with wages factors to get the kind of job, but, now days, the young people already didn’t think about wages, but they thinks about how they can explore themselves with their job (they think more about opportunities they can achieve.)

Some people often think about the opportunity cost of choosing a job with high wages maybe a lost of leisure time, because they have to work much more longer than other workers, they have to think much more harder then others to finish the problems that happen on the company. Other factors are also about the safety of the worker, because sometimes the job that offered high wages are usually the job that has a high risk, some examples are, working in a nuclear factory, and mining. However, there are people that took all the risk in a job to only get a job with a very high wages. This can happen because of economic problems, value of life, or supporting from the family.

So, there are many ideas to choose an occupation that depends on their wants and needs. There are people that are educated by their families to search any jobs that earn a lot of money, whether it’s legal or illegal. But the other people that is educated to search for a job, no matter how much they will earn, it is legal, and follow their rules of their religion. Nowadays, there are many motivators talks about development of ourselves, this also influence ideas of young people to act, one of them are the decision of young people to find jobs. This phenomena makes the ideas about wages factor is the most important become lost, young people are more focused on how they can enjoy and love their job. And the job that they took will give more happiness to themselves (not conflict with their pure heart)

So in conclusion, I think now days, non-wages factor is more affecting the decision to choose an occupation, compared to the wages factor. But there are several people that still think that wages are the most important thing to get a job.

  11. The wage rate of a job can be payed in many ways: a time rate, a piece rate, salary (fixed annual rate), performance related payment. All these forms of payments refer to as wage factors and these factors affects the decision of a person to choose an occupation. In reality other than wage payment company may attract people or supply of labor by offering workers other benefits like car, wage bonus, holiday, retirement contribution, discount if worker buy company product. Such incentives are called fringe benefits. Fringe benefits are one of non wage factor. Other examples of non wage factors are satisfaction in work, company environment, distance of company from worker, location of company, end of year bonus, and safety of job. These factors really affect a worker’s decision in choosing a job especially young people.
The decision of a worker to choose a job depends on their needs, wants, motivation and everything they hope can be achieved. Every person has different criterias. Experienced workers will think about everything they can achieve with this job, because their satisfaction in working is not about the wages anymore but about something that they can give to the company and the rewards from the company to them. It’s a different story for inexperienced workers and unskilled workers; they prioritize wages more than anything else. Why? Because they’re usually too excited to get a job so of course they will pick the job with the higher wages. Economic difficulties also make some people forced to take a job even though they don’t like the job. Their living environment also affects their decision to pick a job. If they mingle with experienced workers so their thoughts are gonna be the same with the experienced workers (don’t prioritize wages). If they mingle with inexperienced or unskilled workers their thoughts will be the same as them (wages is most important factor).
Some examples are: a young doctor that works in a famous hospital will not think about how much he will get but they focus more on health of the people, research about something about medical care, Because in that hospital there are many experienced doctors that do a lot of research about medical care so this young doctor is motivated to do research as well. In another place a young doctor works in a small clinic in where the workers are people who are not experienced and unskilled (the administration in clinic). They prioritize more on how to earn money from the patients than noticing about medicine that they give to the patient (the quality of the medicine).
The thoughts and ideas of older people is different from young people of this generation. Many years ago jobs that offer low wages can be ignored they will search for the job with the highest wage. Today young people will search a job that they can enjoy, the wages doesn't matter. Moreover a job that has a high risk, needs more time to work and needs more energy to work. These kind of factors become the foundation of young people to choose a job. They will like even more to have a normal wage however have a lot of experiences that at the end bring them to job promotion. This is called carrier path, so the young people focus on the career path that their gonna take.
So in conclusion I think carrier path, satisfaction in working, chances to develop ourselves from this job is more important than wages to decide e the occupation that we want to pick.

  12. One of the main factors of a person to choose its work is by its wages. Most people wanted a job with more wages because they need more wages to fulfill their needs and wants. In some cases there are situations that make them don’t have any choice but to choose low paid jobs because they have less skills to be in a high salary job. So in this opportunity I’ll discuss whether wages are the most important factor influencing the choice of occupation for many individuals.

Wages, maybe for some people it’s the most factor that influence them to choose their job. But that doesn’t work with firms. Firms want labor that creates a lot of profit for the firm. Firms will look for labor with some factors. The factors beside wages are the labor’s reputation, the labor’s future expectation; it’s factor sustainability, Productivity, etc.

For reputation, most firms wanted to have people with a lot of experience because if they choose the labor without experience, there is a possibility that the labor don’t know anything then he screws everything. For rules, some labor can’t keep up because some firms have extremely hard rules. Some labors wanted jobs with easy rules so that they can keep up with it. For future expectations, firms want labor that has big potential in the future. Besides saving costs, labor will have training at the facility so that they can more specialization in that particular job. There is also factor of substitutability; this is a factor on how hard to find a substitute of the person who works in the type of job. It’s easier to find an office boy than a CEO.

That’s for the demand of labor from the firm. Now, it’s supply of labor for firm. If there is no labor, then there will be no firm. So supply of labor means the amount of labor that wants to get a job depending on the type of job. The supply of labor also depend on several factors, the factors are amount of wages, difficulty of the job, the type of the job itself, the location of the job, eligibility and rules of the job.

Amount of wages is the biggest percentage why people chose their job, because most people want a lot of salary to fulfill their needs and wants. For example: job with $200 per hour is much more demanded than a $20 per hour job. Difficulty also determines how many workers supplied. Even though there is more salary, doesn’t mean that workers will work as a manager that is difficult for them. The type also influences how many workers wanted to work at the firm. For example, some people wanted a job as an operator than becoming an engineer. Location also influences the labor. More people will want to work at a closer place from their house than the farther one. The last, eligibility, he will do the job if he can, and he won’t do if he can’t.

The point is waging much more effect the choice of occupation. But, if we’re willing, we can also choose the work not determining on the wages.

  14. Wage is the exchange for work an employee has done for the company which we’ll use for our daily expense, and its form is money, cheque etch. Wage is sometimes mistaken to be the same with salary, but its not. Wage is the amount you’re paid per hour and salary is the amount you’re paid each month or year. A part-time job usually pay people per hour and its more beneficial because when you need or want some more money you can work longer, but salary is fixed, it can’t be changed no matter how long you have work, for example is a teacher. Teachers are not paid for the amount of time they’ve spent or checking student’s works, tests, or making assignments for them. They worked though they’re at home too, but they don’t get any bonuses. Wages is not the only factors that influence how the people who want to find a job to choose their job. Well, every person is different, some of them maybe only focus on the wages because his/her family has an economic problem which urge them to find the highest wages company where they can work and earn with their talent. But there’s a lot of other factors that influence the choice to choose an occupation, since there are thousands of occupation in this world. Our jobs are divided by specialization. The wage factors include satisfaction, everyone want to work in a place where the company will provide us with satisfaction like take a break for 20days per year, if we take more than that our salary will be deducted. Some organization provide the workers an entertainment or travelling with the whole company or with family for free! For example, they provide the teachers to a trip to Bangkok if im not mistaken. Some smaller companies provide some too, but maybe only in local. The other one the time duration of work. Small amount of people want to work for 24hours per day, they need rest and other things to do outside of the office. There’s probably some people that is obsessed to work for the whole day and prefer to work more than to take a rest. For example, for the people who work in a 24hours-open supermarket, restaurant or shops, there will be shifts, usually there’s 3-4 shifts each day. But of course in a big company, usually people work from 8am-5pm and of course, higher payments. The other factor is promotion, I believe everybody love the word promotion and some words that come in our mind when we hear this word are: higher wages, will be respected, happier life. The other one is environment, be honest, people will love to work in a place where there’s AC, wifi, cafeteria, good toilets, or the company will lend gadgets to the worker like ipads, iphones, laptop etch. And the last one, medical facilities, most of people will not say no for a free health care. For example: there’s a teacher who worked in a advanced school and her son suffer a disease called renal failure if im not mistaken and the school paid for his medical check up every week though its super expensive.

  15. The factor that influence the choices of the occupation is the wages, people always want to work at the company/ business that have a high wages, many people think that if they work and earn the high wages it will make they rich in some time, but if they earn low wages it will take a long time to become rich. People want to get money because they need to buy things for their needs example: food, house, shirts, etc. they work also for buying their needs. The company/ business sure will not accept the people that have a low education to work at the high level, example : the people that graduate their school until grade 6 then they decided to go out from school and start to work, they don’t have enough education yet but they already want to earn money, so if they want to earn high wages they need to become example like economists, if they have a low wages they do not understand how to be an economists, so the business/ company sure will not accept the people. The main reason for getting high wages are specialization. Specialization can be achieve by division of labour, it means that it divide the workers in accordance to capability of workers. Specialization also affect the productivity, productivity is the efficiency of the workers it can be measure by output and time, output per person. There are some benefits of specialization, it is : 1. The increasing in productivity, so if we specialized the labour, it will affect in the productivity. 2. Promotion, if we specialized the workers, the workers will get the promotion, if they get a promotion many business/ company will think that the workers is good and many company/ business will pay much money to get the workers so that their business will run successfully. 3. Increase in wages rate, if the people already good example at economics lesson, the business/ company will pay many wages to get the workers. 4. Status, example if the people is good at science and eventually they become a professor, so their status will rise , example like their name become Prof.(name of the person), etc.

Besides of advantages of specialization, there were also the disadvantages, it is : 1. Dependence on production. 2. Boring, it means example if the person become an economics teacher, so they will teach the same lesson for the same grade, example at the school they have 3 classes of grade 8 , the teacher will teach the same thing like teaching occupation and wages lesson to all the classes. 3. Difficult to search a new job, it means that if we already pro in being an economics and if we want to change to another job it is hard because probably we are not that pro like if we are being an economists. 4. Stressful, like if the person is a economics teacher instead of boring the person will be stressful because they keep teaching over the same materials again, and sure will about economics. 5. Monotonous job, monotonous means same, so it means same job again.

There are also the factor that affecting the demand for labour : 1. Wages, of course the wages because all people is finding wages. 2. Rules and regulation, if the rules and regulation are complicated and it is hard to understand, many people will not accept the job. 3. Future expectation. 4. Factor substitutability. 5. Increase in productivity. There are also the factor that affecting the supply : 1. Wages. 2. Difficulty. 3. Type, many people will think twice about the type of the job weather it is risky or not. 4. Location, the location of the job is important because example if the location if the job is in the hign mountain many people will think twice. 5. Eligibility. 6. Fringe benefit, it means it is a benefits other than salary. 7. Transport facilities, if the job is far from their house and no transport that pick them up to the location of the job many people will think twice. 8. Rules and regulation, it is a social security benefits.

  16. The factors that influence a person to choose a occupation are wages factor. Usually people find a job that has high wages. People will search for higher wages in in order to fulfill the needs and wants and support the family. Today, it is very hard to live in this world without high wages. It is because the quality of our live is improving. Example: advanced technology. Most people are using ipad and this is a prove that high technology influence how we are living now. Government also give us higher tax so we have to have high wages. In order to get a higher wage you need to be good in a job, and you need to also work hardin order to stay in the job. the higher the wages the harder the job will be. Usually the higher the wage the higher the responsibility. Today there are many competitions in every business and every market. It is hard to get a job. Some people need to work in low wages job because they are not good enough. example: cleaning service, driver, garbage picker. No one wants to do this job but if they don’t do it they can’t buy food. They can’t feed their family. If a company gives higher wages to some people that work better the other worker will do their best so they will get higher wages. Higher wages means higher living standards. Population also plays a major role in influenceing a person’s occupation and wage. The more population there is in a certain area, higher wages will be harder to earn as a lot of people are going in for that job and some are willing to work even harder for that job and earn that wage. But sometimes more population also means a not so good economy as a lot of people will be unemployed and a company can only take a certain amount of people to work in there and this also effects and influence the wages of that person. A part time job usually pay people per hour and its more beneficial because when you need or want some more money you can work longer, but salary is fixed, it can’t be changed no matter how long you have work. Some factors are also not money related like if a person enjoys what they are doing or are passionate about it, a non-profit, low wage job. Sompe people they still focused with wages factors to get the kind of job, but, now days, the young people already didn’t think about wages, but they thinks about how they can explore themselves with their job. Some people also think for the opportunity cost. If they want to get high wage they need to waste more time. If they didn’t want to waste time and do easier job they will receive lower wages. In conclusion there are many factors that influence and effect a person to choose the perfect occupation to suit their wage factors and there are many other factors other than the factor of wage that could influence a person’s choice of occupation.

  17. In choosing an occupation, it’s common to hear people asking how big will the wages be. It’s not weird to hear people trying to persuade the demand of labor to increase the amount of wages offered. What is wages? Wages is the certain amount of money people gain from working. Wages are the most important factor influencing the choice of occupation for many individuals. But not just yet, wages aren’t the only reason why people choose an occupation. People can just choose an occupation according to their will. There are many factors that can explain this statement. Some people choose their own occupation according to their hobbies, talent, ability, benefits receive from this job, location of the work, level of difficulties and according to what they think they are suitable to do. Most people close their eyes to the disadvantages of having a work they chose because of high wages. They drive their mind straight to the front where they only think about the benefit they will receive, wages. In other name, salary. People get blind because of money. They don’t care if they get hurt, stressed, sick or even being in great pressure because of having the occupation. They do this because they need the money to fulfill their needs and wants. Whenever there is this company which is very famous and is well-known of having a very good amount of profit but do not offer high wages, people will not bother to work there. We work to gain wages, that is why high wages are very wanted by many people but only few can achieve it. When we work, we sacrifice our time. Our time to spend with our family, time to have a longer rest, time to spend with our friends, time to be free and do whatever we wanna do. We also sacrifice our energy. In working, our energy is very needed. For example, if you are an athlete, you will spend all of your energy to do your work. So, generally, in exchange of our hard work, we gain money in form of wages. Like what people said : No pain no gain. We need to sacrifice both our time and energy to gain wages. But above all that, not much people will choose a job according to their will only. Because if they do, the amount of wages they receive will not be that much, then, they will only be able to fulfill their needs, not their wants. So, most people choose their job according to what they think is the best. It means, they will receive high wages and do the work according to what is suitable for them. People who gain high wages start their journey from receiving small wages. When they succeed in having their work, they then bring their first experience in working to gain a better job with better wages. They do it over and over again until they finally receive the job and amount of wages they dream for. Humans are never satisfied of what they have. They will always try and try to achieve something better than what they have, and by that, they never give up. What we called by needs are education that now government gives us for free in certain schools. But what we called by wants are the education that we need to pay for in order to receive. You can highlight this statement, that : everything we do since we’re young (for example : studying) is to have a better future. What is meant by a better future is that we can live in happiness where we have enough money to fulfill our needs and wants. To give us a higher education, to give us the best doctor, to enable us to live in a better place and can bring us around the world. That is why wages are very important for people in choosing an occupation.

  18. Wages is of course one of the influence that effects the choice of a certain indvidual in choosing an occupation.People want to have an occupation that provides an enough amount of wage because they need to fullfill their needs and wants. As goods and services are rising today due to inflation , people will need more money to buy their goods and services.People want high wages also because their quality of life are improving.Example: people that only have a small house , a motor bike , and they just eat rice now wants to have a big house , a luxurious car, and wants to eat high quality food. To fullfill this improvement they need high wages.
But ,to have a high wage rate , we have to carry more responsibillity and the job will be more difficult , we need to be more productive, the level of education needed for the job is high and some times we also need to work longer. So there are people that want to have a high wage rate but are force to do low wage rate job because some people have a low level of education that is not qulified in a high wage rate job and they have a low level of knowledge and experience in a high wage rate job.
There are ways to increase your wages. One of them is specialization. Specialisation is the process where you increase your knowledge and experience about the particular field of work or occupation you are in.When your specialisation increases your productivity will also increase. Productivity is the efficiency of work. There are some advantages of specialisation but there are also some disadvantages of specialsiation. The advantages are : 1.your productivity will increase 2.There is a chance where you will get a promotion 3. when your productivity increase , you will receive a higher wage rate 4.when you have more money and a promotion your status in society will increase. The diadvantages are : 1.we need to depend on others 2. it usually is boring because you need to do the same type of work over and over again 3. when your specialisation is high , it is hard to find a new and different type of job 4. it is stressful to do the same thing over and over again.
Wages is not the only factor that influence the choice of a particular person in choosing their occupation . There are also 1.the difficulty of the job 2.Type of occupation 3.Location of the place where we do the job 4.Productivity needed in the job 5.perks or fringe benefit provided by the company/business 6.Type and price of transportation needed to go to the place where we do the job.
But , for some particular people wages is not the most important factor effecting their choice of occupation . The example of this kind of people are : social workers. Social workers are workers that wants to help the society and they are not paid. These social workers don't get paid and the like to help others. They work in an organisation. Example of organisation is : wwf(world wide fund for nature)

  19. Money is essential, it helps us survive in the modern world as it acts as a medium of exchange. There are various jobs around the world, people do jobs in order to earn money (wages). Wages are given in exchange for the worker’s service, the amount of wages given can be determine by the demand and supply of labour, a firm will give lower wages if the demanded amount of labour is higher, as so, the demanded and supplied must achieve equilibrium.

Wages is possibly the most considered factor when choosing a job but there are also other factors we must consider.

Natural talent, each and every person have their own special talent, and they are passionate about it and would love to do more of it. A natural talented person would rather pursue their career in that area, even though the pay’s not that good, thus, overlapping the factor of wages in choosing a job.

Difficulty of the job, we must know how difficult the job that we are applying to, we must know our limit and our capability. Whether we can stand under the pressure, as the harder the job is the more responsibility is given.

Dedication, we must be sure enough to take the job because in order to be success we must sacrifice something, whether it’s time or something else. Are we dedicated enough to our job to sacrifice those?

Location, We must know the location of the work place, is it far? How much time will it consume to go from where you’re living to the place? And also the facilities surrounding the place, whether there is lunch places, transportation, etc. Also working environment, the required hours in the job, social atmosphere and situation between co-workers.
Health, We must consider on how much time the job consumes, don’t let it take control of us too much and then we’ll have no time to sleep, leaving us stressed out, putting too much strain to our body is not good, too much burden and then we’ll end up sick. In the end we’ll spend our money we have earned to pay the expenses.
Monotonous job, A repetitive action during a job sooner or later will be quite boring, everyday you will wake up, go to work then do the same thing, if you’re the type of person that’s okay with that then okay but there are people in this world who would find this quite boring after sometimes, so, find a job that will not bore you, for example, a tour guide (If you’re capable) or an explorer.
Employee benefit (Fringe benefits/perks) is the benefit given by the firm to the employees, giving insurance, vacation tickets, retirement funds, accommodation and medical help to the employees, for example, the insurance workers are usually given vacation tickets for compensation, retirees are given houses to live in and then when an employee is involve in an accident, most firms will pay for the hospital expense to help him/her.
So, in conclusion, there are still other factors we must consider other than wages when choosing a job.

  20. Salary is a major factor in determining the level of employment. So the employee's salary must be geared to the hard work of the employees where the jobs are difficult and risky to get a more adequate salary. The basic factor Adequate base salary and a comfortable working environment is essential factors that make people want to work in your company. In the absence of these factors, people will not want to work for you So, if you're a manager or business owner, do not be wrong to assume that just because you pay your employees with adequate wages (minimum wage or slightly above the minimum wage, or according to the market), you assume they have motivated. Wrong! People are not motivated by basic salary. Adequate basic salary is not a motivating factor. That is the basic factor. Motivational Factors If you want your employees motivated, you must provide the following: Challenging work that makes people can expand their capabilities.
