  1. There may be times when a worker would be prepared to work for very low wages. The reasons might be, the worker might not be able to get another job and has to contend with low wages till he finds a better paying job. Or some people are not trained or educated well enough to apply to high wage job that are usually skilled jobs so in order to survive they just at least work and get money to fulfill their needs. Many high school students in western countries who wants to earn his/her own allowance may also work part time job and doesn’t mind low pay. For example, a high school student working doing a part time job to earn his/her pocket money may not negotiate too much for higher wages. Or a person is a University student who lives alone works in a low wage job view the job as a temporary measure until a graduation and a better job is available and may not negotiate for better wages. Some people have low confidence in doing high paid work that are often hard and needs skill so they want to do a job that is easy but is low paid. People who come from a poor family whose parents also work in a low paid jobs may also prepare for low paid jobs because their parents’ earnings aren’t enough to support their education and therefore they are uneducated and end up in a low paid job which is usually unskilled jobs. These people will start doing it at a young age because they stop going to school because their parents can’t support their school bills. People who do not know of alternative jobs usually land up getting lower wages. Age may be also a factor which limits the worker to get higher wages. Conservatively, around 14%, or more than one in ten, full-time adult Australian workers are low-paid. There are no signs that this proportion of workers in the labour market is declining. The persistence of low pay, despite a decade of strong labour market growth, makes our focus on this group important. There are higher concentrations of low-paid workers in particular industries and occupations, with low pay especially affecting casual and young workers, as well as women. It is not a life-stage experience confined to the young. Some low-paid workers live in households that are low income, while others do not. Some pass through a period of low pay on their way to obtaining better jobs and higher qualifications, while others remain in low-paid jobs, or churn through them, become unemployed or withdraw from the labour market. Characteristics associated with low-paid jobs are little or no reward for training and skill, truncated career and pay structures, job insecurity, erratic or excessive time demands, unsocial hours, the absence of well-developed on-the-job training, a lack of recognition of prior learning, multiple jobs, a lack of employer investment in training and/or job demands that preclude easy participation in training. These issues are compounded for casual workers. Participation in employment and training is inhibited by the following personal characteristics: fear of change, low confidence, high care loads, exhaustion, age, gender and churning between welfare and work. The capability of low-paid workers to make a successful transition between work, home and education commitments is consistently affected by lack of time and money.

  2. Some people are willingly to work for low wages because sometimes they work voluntarily for people who are in need or to help people in the society. Examples of voluntary jobs are like when someone is selling goods to people and the income is given to orphanage or communities that are in need. It is obviously disadvantages to the people who voluntarily work for social communities but it is advantages to the social people that needs the money and goods and services. People that do voluntary works are people that are willingly to help to the poor or in need.

Workers also sometimes receives low wages because their difficulty in their job is easy and they need only a little of education to do their jobs. Some examples are that when maids works in a small house, the maid only needs to know how to clean the house and because the area of the house is small, it is easier to clean, so she is paid in low wages. Some jobs have low wages because there are less demand and high supply. Some people are ready to work for low paid occupations because they don't have enough education to work as a skilled worker. Some people also are also ready to work for low paid occupation because they are lazy even though they have enough education for higher wages. But even educated people that are diligent can also work for low paid occupations because the demand for work is too high as for the supply of the occupation is low, because there are only limited available occupations that needs a skilled worker. Unemployed people work for low paid occupation because there are no more choices or no more jobs for them so they only can earn low wages because if they don't work they don't have enough money to buy goods and services.

Another reason that people are ready to work for lower wages in their occupation is because of discrimination of gender. Firms and companies usually pays less wages to female worker than the male worker even though they have the same rank and same job, because firms and companies discriminate female worker because they think female workers ill earn less wages that the male workers. Examples of discrimination to female workers are that, a male worker worked for 8hours in firmA and receives $50 per day while a female worker works also for 8hours in firmA but because of discrimination in gender the firm only gives her $40 per day because she is a female worker.

Other example of people that wants to work for low paid occupation are like the president of a country, even though the wage for being a president is not that high but filthy rich people still wants to be a president because being a president has a high status or in other words as a very important person, the president is given a very big house for their family with a very high security and everywhere they go there are bodyguards for the president's safety. They don't really need the wages because they are already very rich but they want to be president to have the most highest status in the country and to become famous.

  4. People work to earn money and support their families, pay their living costs, to buy something that they want, but there are some people who are willing to work in low wages paid occupation, which means that they will need to work for hours but they get paid low and many reasons can explain why this thing happen. We will discuss some of the reasons and the points against having low wages.

Unskilled workers or people who don’t have good education are prepared to do the job even though the wages are low. Maybe it’s hard to fulfill their needs and wants but because they have limited abilities and are not trained to do skilled jobs. In that way, the effect is that firms offer employment and need lots of supply of the worker, such as: working at the shop, mall and small restaurant. A few people want to do that to get experience in working, usually this people are the beginners. Some people take risks in working in this kind of occupation, they think that it is better to take a low wage job that is safe compare to high wage but easy to lose them because the firms might have lower security of the job so they don’t easily put out workers. People are also ready to work in low wages because the firms sometimes give fringe benefits , they give other advantages for the workers besides wages. For example: providing facilities, giving subsidies like providing houses for the workers. Other reasons are gender, racist and discrimination.

The points against this is that all people need money, especially they live in a big city that have lots of facilities, high technology, it requires high living cost which includes paying bills and taxes, paying transport cost, such as by using public transports such as bus. If people are taking low wages job because it is safe, then they don’t have enough money to pay all of their needs. It is not always depend on low wages to get experience but it also depends on his/her age, if he/she is still young, they are full of energy and want to have a better future by getting highly paid to save some money then they can’t work there. People also want to buy something they like, they will not just earn money to fulfill their needs, if they even cannot fulfill their needs how do they satisfy their wants?

Some people think that the companies may take advantages of them, like they use the workers’ time and energy but they get less benefits, they can spread that and cause the firms to get disadvantage in this because their companies may have a bad reputation. The conclusion of this is there are always people who want to work to get other benefits besides only getting wages and they have many reasons and factors why they are ready to work in low paid occupations

  5. Some people going to work with a low wages rates because maybe they are less educated so that are not accepted by a job which offered a high wages rate, Many people are also lazy and they didn't want to work for many hours and they will only get a low wages compare to a worker which work much more hour. Unemployment people also willing to work but they didn't have any work so they will work in any job so they would work in company that only offer a small amount of wages. Some people also don't have the skill or abilities to get a high wages rate because the are not specialized in that field of work so they get a job with a low wages rate, workers that has less experience will have a job which offer a low wages rather than a worker which is educated and has a lot more experience and of course he would earn more,
Many people doesn't want to work in dirty job because is very risky job which can put yourself in danger so many people choose to work in other job even though the job offer less wages than a worker which works in a dirty job because worker that work in dirty job will receive more wages compare with a normal worker but working in dirty job will need all our responsibility, job with fringe benefit will increase the demand even though the company doesn't offer a very high wages rate but people will still going to work in that company because fringe benefit is very beneficial to all of us. The other problem is having the same job again and again that means our wages will not increase because he only had a same job all time.

The conclusion is that we need to use our time by studying and finish university when we are young so when we are adult is not hard to find a job which offers a high rate of wages because we are a well educated people so it will reduce people that are ready to work in a low wages rate occupation which makes out country to develop and our country has higher technology.

  6. Some people prepared to work in a low-paid occupation because they were the people who did not go to school while they were young because they have no money to go to school and get education. So they become unskilled worker who have less education and abilities. So they have low wage.

Discrimination also force people to work in a low-paid occupation. For example discrimination in gender make men paid more than woman or older people forced them to work in a low-paid occupation.

Lack of information available is also an important factor why people prepare to work in low-paid occupation because they don't know alternatives job and result in low wages.

A worker also have only a part time job. For example a student who is studying in a university choose to work part time because he have a study that must be completed also try to making some money so they didn't rely on the money that their parents sent.

There is also a possibility that a worker didn't try to negotiate for a higher wage and the worker may be lazy although they were skilled so their boss didn't pay they more.

The worker may be working on the public sector which were pay less then the private sector worker because public sector worker have a higher status than a private sector worker.

Some people also work in an voluntary organization to help poor people or people who are injured because of a natural disaster, war, or an incident. For example red cross.

The conclusion is that there is many reasons that some people prepared to take low paid occupation.

  7. As general, we know that people work in order to earn money, that money is use to buy goods and services that they need and want and also to pay monthly/daily expenses. Nowadays money is very-very useful for everyone in this world because now money can buy almost everything, it can determine our welfare and class in public, people with lot of money are more respected rather than the people with few money, and also nothing in this world now is free but money works. Because of money is so important, so, as the worker, they want to paid as high as possible in order to have great standard living and high class in public. Everyone loves money even they are rich or poor, boys or girls, people in the rural or cities, and etc, and many say money is everything. But as you see today, there are so many people(unskilled workers) who want to works for low wages and also prepare their children to be unskilled workers too, are they don't care about money? the big question is why they want to be like that and why many of them prepare their children to be like that too? There are some reasons why this can be happen which will be explain in the next paragraph.

The First reason is, as we know before, unskilled workers are earning low, not highly educated, and have simple thinking inside their mind, because of that when their children is already old enough(just around 15-17) they will ask their children to stop school and work in order to boost up their family income, because the parents think that school is useless and just spend money while work is much more better. In that young age, their child is just finish junior high school, they don't have specialized knowledge to work in skilled job, so their only choice is working in unskilled job such as maid, office boy, cleaning service, and etc, so they will earn low like what their parents did, if the children keep the same thinking pattern like their parents, the next generation will be continue prepared to work in low wages job. Second, because of they are live in poor conditions of economics, so the children may be feel pessimism to continue their higher education, they aren't dare enough to continue their education because they scared they can't finish their higher education because of lack of money and they don't want to increase expenses that their parents must pay, so they decided to go on work after finish senior or junior high school or maybe just after primary school , because of that, they just able to work in unskilled job and earn low wages. Third and the last, they don't want to think hard about their future, they just think that 'this is my life and this is my fate' because of that thinking pattern, they will just continue to work in the same part like their parents, this kind of thinking pattern make them prepared themselves to be unskilled workers which pay in low wages.

But, against the statement above, we can see everywhere that no one want to be poor and have low wages even for poor people, everyone want to be rich and have high income to live in luxury lifestyle. Well, the statement that there are some people who prepared to work for low wages is generally correct because of the children from poor family often have no doubt about bright future because of they see their live and their parents live now is far from bright live. But for few people that statement aren't correct because they think that every people want to work in high wages job.

The conclusion is the statement of there are some people who prepared to work in low wages job is generally correct, because of they are ask to work in early age(before finishing school), they have pessimist feeling about planning for their future, and don't want to think hard for their future just follow their parents jobs. But there are also some few people who think there aren't people that prepared to work in low wages job because they think no one want to be poor and have low wages.

  8. Everyone works to earn money and provide their daily needs. They are some people work in low paid occupation and the other work in high paid occupation. This is the wages differential that occurs because of differences in demand and supply in different labor markets. The demand for labor is related to how productive labor is and the amount of production goods and services, while labor supply is related on people having in the right skill and the net advantage of different jobs. Some people are prepare to work in low paid occupation, because of some reasons, such as little experience, low skills and little bit information of the jobs.

First, most reason why people prefer to take low paid occupation is only have little experience. People who just graduate from the college or university usually do not have experience to do the job. Most of them never work in company, and want to receive low paid occupation. Besides, other people choose to have low paid occupation because they are lazy. They do not have effort to find a better job that can give more paid.

Second, people with low skills or unskilled people actually do not have high paid occupation. The reason is workers do not all have the same education, training, and ability. For example, a doctor has more skills than a driver, so each of them of course has different wages or salary. If both of them are paid the same amount, very few people who want to be a doctor and more people who want to be a driver.

Third, Lack of information about job and wages can become a good reason for people who prefer to take low paid occupation. People with low paid occupation do not know about better paid jobs elsewhere. They may be not having many friends or networks where they can get more information about jobs and wages. Besides, they also are not open minded that can communicate and interact well with the others. They are not perseverance enough to improve their career.

In conclusion, they are some reasons why people are agree to work in low paid occupation, for instance, little experience, low skills, and lack of information about jobs and wages. Each people has their own point of view, opportunity and choice to take low paid occupation or more paid occupation and enjoy their own job.

  9. People work to make money for their survival, for food, clothing, etc. Some workers are lucky and skillful enough to be able to work in convenient environments, but there are many who needs to work hard under the sun, which are usually low paid occupations. Low paid occupations are jobs where the workers are paid in a low amount. Examples of the workers are maids, blue collar workers, porters, etc. There are workers willing to do these jobs because here in Indonesia, the supply of labour is greater than the demand, which means the job availability are insufficient and it is more difficult to find an occupation.
The answer to ‘’why some people are prepared to work in low paid occupations’’ depends on the economic development of the country. Based on censuses, MEDCs (more economically developed countries) are generally less populated than LEDCs (less economically developed countries) which indicates us that there are different levels of demand and supply for different countries. As is said earlier, in Indonesia, the supply of labour is much greater than the demand for labour, which means the unemployment level is high and the open job fields are insufficient to decrease the unemployment level. As the supply increases and the demand is less, in order to create equilibrium, there must a decrease in wage rates for non skilled occupations. There are a few reasons for why workers are willing to work with low wages. Firstly, in less economically developed countries, the supply is greater than the demand. As I have mentioned, the supply of unskilled labour is greater than the demand for non skilled workers. That causes a decrease in wage rate so that there will be more demand for it. The second reason for workers willing to work at low paid jobs is their knowledge and skills. Most low paid occupations require little or no experience to be completed, which means unskilled workers are able to do those tasks but get low wage rates. Poor families need money to buy food and clothing to stay alive, but most of them have no knowledge and skills needed to become semi skilled workers or skilled workers, which are generally highly paid compared to unskilled workers, so they have no choice but to work as unskilled workers that does simple tasks and get paid very low. But nobody is forcing them to work with those low wages, they have motivation and they must work in order to make sure they stay alive. If they did not want to work, they won’t, but most of them will self motivate and work as low paid workers.

    ReplyDelete
  10. But against the statement above, not every unemployed people are willing to work at low wage rates. Most poor people want to have high paid occupations, but without the required skills and knowledge, they can’t, so they do simple tasks and get little money, but it is better for them to get little money than no money at all. But some aren’t willing to work. Most of these people are poor people who have nothing to lose, or people who think they have enough money. These people are not willing to get little money by working hard. Generally most people want to be wealthy, but not everyone has the knowledge and skill to work as skilled workers and earn a lot of money.
In conclusion, the people who are willing to work at low wages are generally poor people; they need the money to survive, but they can only earn a small amount of money as they do not have the skills and knowledge to become semi skilled or skilled workers and get lots of money. But not everyone is willing to work hard while receiving less money; they are generally those who are passionate to become a skilled worker and will try to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to become one. They do not want to drop out of school and want to get a job but don’t have the requirements, they generally want to try and do anything to have a better standard of living.

  11. We know that people work to earn money, to buy their needs and wants, also to buy goods and services. Money can determine us, whether we are at the high economy or at the low economy, because money is very important for our living. People want to get high wages in their occupation for their living and high standard in the state of economy. But, beside that, there are many people that prepared to work in low paid occupations. Why? Let’s discuss more about this.

The first common reason is because there are limited jobs available for the workers. If there are limited jobs available, automatically there will be less workers that able to work, so they choose any kind of job that are available for them, even they get low paid for their wages. The second common reason is because some of them go to work, to find new experience. For example, maids, they will be paid higher, if they have more experience. Let’s say, maids A have been work for 5 years, and maids B just start her job, of course people will paid maids A higher than maids B, because maids A already have more experience that she already faced. The third reason is because there are some people that have low skilled jobs, and usually they have low wages. The worker might not be trained to do skilled job and thus get low wages. The fourth reason is because the worker might choose to work part-time and does not mind low pay. For example, a student working doing a part time job to earn his pocket money may not negotiate too much for higher wages. The fifth reason is because some of the worker might view the job as a temporary measure until a better job is available and may not negotiate for better wages. The sixth reason is because some of them want to work at a place where it is near with his/her house. Lack of information is also an important factor. Workers who do not know of alternative jobs usually land up getting lower wages. So they will do any kind of job because they don’t know which company that needs their skill. And the last reason is because of age. Age may be a factor for people to do a job with low paid occupation, because age limits the worker to get higher wages. For example, a 25 years old man will be paid higher than 45 years old man, because the power that 25 years old man have is more than the power that 45 years old man have.

Against the statement above, we can see that some of the people are prepared with the low paid for their wages. Some of the factors happen naturally, for example age, we can’t refuse our age because every year our age increased. Some of the factors also happen because it’s their decision. For example, they might choose to work part-time and does not mind low pay.

In conclusion, it’s true if there are some people that prepared to work with a low-paid occupation, and there are soe factors that explain why this could be happen. But, there are some people that really prepared to work, it is because they want to get high wages and have high standard in the state of economy.

  12. We all know that people needs to work to survive, they need to work and earn money to earn a living for themselves and maybe for their family. Most people wanted to work in high-paid occupations because they wanted more money. We will now discuss why some people are prepared to work in low-paid occupations.

People are prepared to work in low-paid occupations because if they just did nothing at home and rest all day, they won't get any money, they'd rather work even it's for only a small amount of money. Now, it's also very hard to find a job in which you can earn lots of money. You need to work really hard for it and you need to get a high level of education. Most people doesn't have proper education,so they chose to work in low-paid occupations eventhough they're paid less. They also know for a fact they need that small amount of money to survive, they can't rely on anything else other than themselves to survive. They even fight for this low-paid occupations. It's a miracle that now it's even hard to find low-paid occupations.Too much people are without jobs. Now,the government needs to help jobless people by hiring them to work for the country. This way,the amount of people jobless will decrease and the nation's economy will rise. These jobless people are all prepared to work, they're even prepared to work in low-paid occupations, they just can't find a job because now,it's scarce.People will also work if they like the job, even if they're paid less.People also work in low-paid occupations because they can get lots of fringe benefits from that job. They feel as if they get more benefits if they choose a job with fringe benefits rather than the job with more wage offered. Some people will also be prepared to work in low-paid occupations if that certain job requires less effort to do,a low level of task. This way they get less money but they can relax more.

But,there are people who refuse to work in low-paid occupations because even if they work, they won't be able to survive, they thought that the amount of wage they get is too low that it's futile to work, they'd rather stay at home and relax rather than work and earn less money.A person with skills and specialized knowledge will also think that all they're effort in studying for a high level of education will be wasted if they work in low-paid occupations, thus they won't do it.They will wait until they find a suitable job for them with a high amount of wage offered. There are some people that can rely on their parent's money to survive, they won't work and they will just enjoy life with their parent's money, this type of case is also not that rare assuming that we can find a lot of rich people this days.An old man would not waste their time working in a low-paid occupation for a small amount for money, they can live and survive with the money they have. Some people also begged for money to people because they think that they can live if they beg all day long for money rather than working for a small amount of money.

The conclusion is that most people have no other choice than to work in a low-paid occupation in order to survive,it's just how this world works, they need to work. But some people are lucky enough to not work because of they money they inherit or the money they has gained through their hard work.

  13. Occupation Is a job that people do to earn wages for living. Wages of occupation vary depend on the types of the job. There are some occupation that have a large wages and some are not. This day, to find an occupation is become harder than in the past. The occupation which offer a promising wages are very rare. Hence, many people work even for low wages occupation.

People work even for low wages occupation because competition to get a good occupation is very difficult. And also nowadays, companies use a high standards to recruit employee. As some people lost the competition to get a good job they turn themselves to low wages occupation. They have reason for accept low wages occupations. They intend to gain experience before moving forward to find better job in the future. As they hope to get better wages in the future.

In some people who choose low wages occupation, they think they can gain experience before move to the next step or new better job. Most people consider to take low wages occupation are unexperience or freshgraduate from university. They are realize the difficulty to find good wages occupation without experience.

The disadvantages of choosing occupation with low wages is scarcity, because places of occupation are competition. Because of many people who apply for job so the demand for job become decline, instead of the supply of job seeker increase.

It is usual to find a low wages occupation contain of unskilled workers even though some skilled workers are also can be found. This will affect Social welfare of a country, because most workers are paid very low. Lack of ability and expertise make unskilled workers prefer to work even for low wages occupation than involve themselves in competition with highly skilled workers.

In life there are some people who life not for money, as money is not the most important factor in their life. The example for this can be found on voluntary workers. They dedicate their life not for money but for helping others people life. So they don't mind to be paid in low wages because their happiness based on the happiness of others people not from money they earned.

There is some case of the people accept the low wages occupation because of the agreement they made in the past. They cannot cancel the agreement because of some penalties which is part of the agreement. For example , those people who got scholarships from certain company to study in certain university. Usually there are an agreement which made for those whose accept the scholarships to work for the company who funds them after they finally graduated from their school or university.

For the conclusion there are several reasons why people choose low wages occupation. Most of the reason found out to be the highly competition between job seekers to find a job. So that occupation with high wages become rare or difficult to find. Other reason for people who choose this way can be seen in voluntary workers who dedicate themselves for helping other people. Regardless, how much money they will earn. The last reason is sometimes because of the agreement of people which is made in the past, for example scholarships acceptors who obligate to work for company who funds them during their study in school or university.

  15. An occupation is any activity an individual does to earn a living. The main reason, arguably, for individuals working is to earn money to buy goods and services to consume, to ensure survival of the individual. However, some people earn more than others. Despite the statement mentioned, many people are prepared to work for low wages, even though the wages might not be sufficient to support their living at times. In the US, low-paid work can be defined as a job that pays $12 hourly or less. Each country has their own precise definition of a low-paid job, and it is not necessary to be below the minimum wage rate of the country. Generally, low-paid jobs may include, but are not limited to, farm labour, cashiers, restaurant hosts, dishwashers, and cleaning service, with average wages of $8-10 in the USA.

There are several reasons why people are willing to work at low-paid jobs. The most common one is that they are simply forced to. The choice they are faced with is to work with little wages or remain jobless. This is caused by several factors. Firstly, the division of skilled and unskilled workers. Skilled workers or workers with a specific level of skill or knowledge generally earn more than unskilled workers, who are workers who have no or very limited skills. This is because the demand for skilled workers is larger than its supply, whereas in the case of unskilled workers, supply exceeds demand. Another factor is the existence of discrimination in wage differentials, whether it is by gender, race or age, even though the law forbids discrimination when it comes to any aspect of employment, including hiring, firing, pay, job assignments, promotions, layoff, training, fringe benefits, and any other term or condition of employment. Female workers often earn less than their male counterparts, in the most extreme cases reaching only 10% of the earning of males in the same work, such as in New Zealand. Racial discrimination is also common, especially in the 20th century. A famous example is the racial segregation of apartheid in South Africa. White supremacy was maintained and black people could not earn as much as whites. (evidence of racial discrimination now). The last form of discrimination to be noted is age discrimination. It is generally more difficult for older people to be employed in firms compared to younger people because younger people are perceived to be more energetic and ready to work, even though this is not always true. There are many older people who are exceptionally good in their field of work, mainly because of experience, but could not be accepted into a company or firm. Even if he is hired, he will earn low wages or being socially harassed by co-workers.

    ReplyDelete
  16. However, some people work with low wages voluntarily, rather than being forced to. Some individuals chooses a career path that is their hobby or interest, even though the work doesn't earn much money. An example is street artists. Street artists depend on the tips given by pedestrians, and they might not earn a sufficient amount of money. But they are passionate in arts, so they keep doing so. Working for passion in some ways is a better choice than working for money, as people would want to enjoy life while working, instead of feeling that work is a boring routine and that they are slaving their lives away. Many individuals would face a crisis at a time in their lives, and would ponder about what is the true meaning of life. These people would figure out that life isn't a competition to earn as much money as you can, and that to enjoy life, you should do what you love. Some agree that passion will bring you money, but working for passion also has its flaws. This argument does not have any scientific evidence, and it is difficult to find studies regarding matching a work environment to a pre-existing passion. The statement 'happy employees make the best employees' is only based on anecdotal evidence. Many people who end up loving their job would realize that clearly identified pre-existing passion is rare, and most people would find that passion emerges over time. Passion, at times, may also be delusional. You might find out that what you think is your passion might not be your passion after all. People will fall into anxiety and chronic job-hopping when they set their expectations too high. If they believe they have a pre-existing passion, and that matching this to a job will lead to instant workplace bliss, then reality will always pale in comparison.

In conclusion, most individuals are prepared to work in low-paid occupations because they are forced to or remain jobless, which is not a choice because they need money to support their living. However, others earn low wages voluntarily, as they work for passion instead of money. They earn low wages because the work they do sometimes is not appreciated by the society.

  17. Usually the low paid occupations is a job that has low security job or there are some contract be tween employment and employers. This contract means employment get some benefit but has a low wages, employers spend more expense to this employment, so the employers only give low wages . a person seeking a job may therfore accept a lower wage if a job offer attractive non-wage benefit. But there are also many job that paid low wages because of dirty job , low responsibility, easy task (no need a special knowlede) in this time i will discuss about the low paid occupations that people dont want and the reasons of it. Also i will discuss about why people choose a lower wages in 1 company.
First, level of education. The low education make someone doesn’t have any skill without skill only limited job they can get. So what happen to them? They only get a job that give low wages, examples : cleaning services, dust man, mait, security. In their mind how much they can earn it is doesn’t matter. The important things to them is they still have a job and earn money and their livings
Secondly, hobbies and society concern. Some people distribute their hobbies to make money but sometimes the money that they earn not that much. For them the important thing is they do a job that they interested in and they enjoy it for some people doing the charity is enjoyable. They don’t focus in money, but focus in satisfying of helping people, for examples : pastor, he has been sent to small villages that uncomfortable. In that uncomfortable place the citizen is not rich, they live poorness. Automatically the pastor’s live is not secured eat less food , doesn’t have money, poor. So they search for a job depends on consience not for money
Third, no experience, no knowledge, no specialization. Automatically people who don’t have experience , knowledge, specialization are paid with low wages the job for them is also limited, as we know supply of unskilled workers is higher than demand of skilled workers, therefore the wages for them is also low.
Fourth , training opportunities. For fresh graduate, low wages is doesnt matter, because they are looking for experience. Experience more valuable in the future, so if they leave they current job, and try to find a new job, with that experience they can get a higher wages. Some companies offers training opportunities to their employment with purpose of making the productions efficiently . this things is used by workers by employment to get a new experience in knowlegde. Although they paid lower than others.
IN CONCLUSION : the reason why people prepared for a low-paid occupation are : level of educations , hobbies society ,experience , training opportunities. In other situation and condition, the fringe benefit also attract the employment to choose that job although that company give a low wages, besides that, hours of work is also improtant for some people especially for people who need a lot of relax.

  18. People work to earn money, and then the money that they get from their work will be used to buy their needs and wants. We need to have higher wages to fulfill or needs and wants. However, there are some people that prepared to work in low-paid occupations. There are some reasons why some people are prepared to work in low-paid occupations.
First, because of their children think that their parents are not success enough (even not success at all), so they feel also that later in the future they will not be success, the same as their parents (we can say that the children are pessimist). So the choices of job that they will do in the future will not be far from what are their parents’ jobs as unskilled workers. Second, because of they are not highly educated, and their thinking pattern is as long as they got money is enough for them, so they spend most of the day in working however their salary is quiet low, and sometimes it can not fulfill their needs and of course their wants. Beside of that, they also think that no need for their children to take higher level of education because they think that it is useless for their children to take higher level of education, they think it is wasting time. So, they ask their children not to go to school anymore and they will ask their children to help them in working or helping them in finding job for themselves and help to get money from that job. Also, the reason can be that they think there is no money for continues to study in higher level of education. Third, discrimination is one of the reasons why some people are prepared to work in low-paid occupations. An example in Africa, there’s discrimination in black and white skin. Also in gender, and religion. Fourth, people might think that working in factories or industries get some fringe benefits, so, they can get more facilities, or money. Fifth, some people don’t want to have bigger task and responsibility in their work. So, they are prepared to work in low-paid occupations.
However, some people think that there are some disadvantages of becoming skilled workers that have higher wages. First, because we always work in that specialization, sometimes we might get stressed, and bored of doing it. Second, it is also hard for us to finding new jobs because we already specialized in one subject or thing. Third, we might be depending on others, because if we specialized in one thing, and we want to do other specialization, we need other people to help us in doing that. Fourth, some people like to work with low wages but they like that job because that’s their hobbies and they passion with it.
In conclusion, most of the people are prepared to work in low paid-occupations because of their thinking pattern, no choice, pessimism, etc. however, others can work in low-paid occupation because they see from disadvantage of becoming people that have higher wages than them.

  19. People are ready to receive to low wages because they have non skilled worker. They must work to buy food, clothes, and houses to fulfill their needs but they have less money. In order to survive they must work for survival. There are some reason why the must receive low wages.
The reason .They don’t have a high level of education because they only learn until high school. The other reason is that some country in the world like Israel, Japan, Russia, and America they have some racist people. For example in the USA the black people mustn’t enjoy the facility in the office but white people can enjoy it. Some of the country, the woman must get lower wages because of the discrimination. There are some rules in some country that they have the minimum and maximum wages for each job. Some of them are rejected because they don’t have specialization in business if they want to work in a big company. The other is because they have no job because the employment is full so they have no choice and work with low wages because many people want to have a highly paid job. The other is because they’re lazy to work. Some people prepare to work in low wages occupation because they have some specialization in that work for example he can clean the toilet. The people that are ready to work at low wages occupation thinks that him or her income is enough to buy food, clothes, and houses. The ages is one of the factor too because we always grow up. The higher the age the lower the wage but it’s up to the boss to give the wages. If they don’t have a job they don’t have the wages right?? So they must work no matter how much the wages, at least they still can get wages than they don’t have the money. Some of the people are disable for example they don’t have legs or hands so they must get the low wages because they cannot do anything
The point against is that we need to get more education so we can learn more about our specialization and it’s require a lot of training to be success. For the disable they need a special training to get a job. Most of us are lazy but we can learn not to be lazy.

The conclusion is if one of the factors or reason why some of the people in this world are prepared to work in low wages occupation. The work condition can change to its environment, the other and our self. It’s their choice if they want to paid in low wages or not. There are some reason in my discussion that some of the reason that cannot be denied by someone for example our age. We cannot be younger everyday but we become older every day and everyone cannot denied unemployment because many people want to have high paid wages than low wages. That’s for today and thank you.

  20. Everyone has their own considerations when choosing a job. Sometimes there are some people who are voluntarily doing dirty occupation. For that there are some people who might really want that job, although the salary paid by the cheap. This is because the person may not have the skills or do not have a higher education.
Factors that may attract the attention of people when choosing a job. Sometimes people choose a low paying job but have a lot of matches that make them comfortable. There are also those people who cannot have a job with a big salary because it does not meet the qualification such as education, skill, responsibility.
I think there are some reason why people prepared for a low occupation:
    1. promotion prospect
with a low salary initially make the company more young people to promote it so that when it reaches a high salary position they are not too big. If the person already has a new job, he will be paid a higher salary than the old one with the same title.
    2. Level of education
many people do the dirty job due to not having enough education. Automatic salary they earn too low. They only can get a job with a low paid because their requirement is not high. Example: senior high school graduates are paid less compare paid bachelor degree graduates.

    3. Experience
those people who has experience will have a big salary. While it is usually the fresh graduate has no experience. So that their salaries are low. It is already common knowledge that many companies are looking for fresh graduates to work. And the fresh are not concerned about the salary because they work to gain experience. That is to say the fresh graduates prepare to get a lower salary at first.
    4. Hobby
there is people who want to open a business or want to get a job on its own. For they are not concerned with this issue wage issue. That their priority is pleasure or hobby that they do for work. For the people like this, they will usually get a lower salary right at first. it might be due to a work-related hobby less desirable or not they make a lot of profit. But in the real world The people like it a lot. For example: painter, dancer, singer (not famous)

    5. Training opportunities
there are several companies that offer job training atu provide scholarship / Usually meberika corporations on employee wages low. and usually a lot of fresh graduates who want a job like this because they ultimately get valuable knowledge even though at first they were paid lower than their friends. Company offered salary determined unilaterally by the company.
So in conclusion, people prepared for low paid occupation because of nett advantage they will get or because of their ability. People that doesn’t have skill automatically will wages ( easy task, demand is smaller than supply of labour). But there are people who seek the low paid wages to get high benefit like fringe benefit

  21. There are many kinds of occupation, high-paid occupations and low-paid occupations. Many people will choose the high-paid occupations, but sometimes because there are no choices, some people will choose the low-paid occupations. High-paid occupations need specialized knowledge, high level of experience, and high responsibility. So a worker who works in a high-paid occupation might need all of the conditions of high-paid occupations.

Some people therefore didn’t have all the conditions of high-paid occupations. That’s why that some people are willing to work in low-paid occupations. Some reasons for that is because people who work in low-paid occupations have no experience, less educated, lazy to work, wanting to work according to their hobby, living in a poor family, and don’t have any choices but to work, even though it have low wages.

People who don’t finished their studies or are less educated, can’t work in high-paid occupations. Because they don’t have enough skills and abilities and any experience to work in high-paid occupations. So those people have no choices but to work in low-paid occupations.

Some people are also too lazy to work in high-paid occupations. Because high-paid occupations requires hard working workers. So the lazy peoples will choose jobs that don’t require hard working workers. Some people are also working according to their hobbies, if for example their hobby is cooking, but the occupation who gives high wages is not the ones that require cooking. So people will choose to work in low-paid occupations but they are willing to work in it because of their hobbies.

Most people are so poor that they need to survive their lives. In surviving their lives, they need money. If they didn’t work, they didn’t get any money. So they have no choices but to work in low-paid occupations. Even though they get low wages, they still can survive with a little money.

So in conclusion, there are many reasons for people to work in low-paid occupations. Such as they have no experience, less educated, lazy, their hobbies, too poor, and need survival so much.
